Twenty years ago, the current coach of Tajikistan’s national team, Peter Segrt, had an Iranian disciple named Amir Saadati.
Tajikistan’s national team has recently achieved remarkable success, securing a spot among the top eight teams in Asia. Peter Segrt, a Croatian coach with German roots, has a history of coaching various teams, including national teams of Georgia, Afghanistan, and the Maldives before taking charge of Tajikistan’s national team. Interestingly, two decades ago, while coaching Austrian teams DSV Leoben and Wiener Sportklub, Segrt mentored an Iranian player named Amir Saadati later became involved in football management in Iran.
