Hosseinzadeh Joins Belgian Team Charleroi

Sporting Charleroi football club announced the arrival of Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh on Monday evening.

The 21-year-old Iranian, who also plays for the national team (2 caps), signed a contract with the Belgian club until 2024. The contract also includes a two-year club option.

Hosseinzadeh enjoyed his youth training in his own country with Moghavemat Tehran. In 2018, he joined Saipa, where he made his professional debut in the Iranian football league.

Last season, the attacking midfielder played for FC Esteghlal, winning the championship without losing a league match.

Hosseinzadeh played 30 games for Esteghlal last season in the Iran league and scored eight goals.

Earlier, a photo that showed Ghafouri privately training with a jersey of Foolad had gone viral on social media but the contract has been just inked by the sides after what Iranian media called “long” negotiations

Hamid Reza Garshasbi, director general of Foolad, said the talks were prolonged due to financial issues, rejecting rumors that claimed some authorities were hindering the contract

The 34-year-old defender is famous for his social and political stances

The right-back parted ways with Esteghlal weeks ago after six years. His decision came as the club’s officials did not contact him for the extension of the contract this summer

Foolad have acquired several players in the summer window such as Ehsan Pahlavan and Ali Ghorbani but Ghafouri can be considered their bombshell

Ghafouri was the primary captain of Esteghlal during the past seasons and is considered one of the most favorite players among fans

Azerbaijan international center back joined Tractor F.C

Tractor have confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle to sign Iranian/Azerbaijan center back Hojjat Haghverdi  from Sumgayit PFC.
